Luxurious Oubaai Estate House
This Luxurious House is situated on a very steep site in the Oubaai Golf Estate, with splendid west facing sea views and access from the east.
Contemporary architecture with bespoke design elements, reflects the neighbouring houses with natural timber and stone elements providing an additional layer of warmth.
Sloping roof elements reflects the inclined nature of the site and accentuate the important interior spaces with raised ceilings.
The owner plans to retire in the house, and from the outset all the required amenities were planned for easy circulation on street level. All bedrooms and living areas are provided with ocean views, and lives onto covered patios.
Dealing with the west orientated views and accompanying low level afternoon sun, posed a major challenge.
Roof overhangs, sliding panels, retractable shade cloth screens and high-tech, triple glazing panels were employed to protect interior spaces against glare and overheating.
