The Brink Eco Estate, Oubaai, George
Impressive Estate Living House

This impressive house is nestled within the stunning The Brink Eco Estate and was designed to maximize panoramic views of the breathtaking landscape.
The L-shaped layout allows for a remarkable outdoor entertainment area, featuring a sheltered courtyard that offers protection from the prevailing southeastern winds while basking in the warm northern sun.
Stepped stone retaining walls and thoughtfully curated landscaping create a seamless transition from the more formal garden to the natural surroundings, enhancing the connection between the home and its environment.

All living areas and bedrooms in House D are oriented to take full advantage of the breathtaking southern views.
Generous fenestration maximizes visibility and fosters a strong connection with the surrounding landscape.
The design features mono-pitched roofs complemented by clerestory windows, ensuring abundant sunlight penetrates into the first-floor bedrooms, enhancing the sense of openness and warmth.
The main bedroom, along with ancillary services, is strategically situated on the eastern side of the dwelling to capture the gentle morning sunlight.
Located on the ground floor, it ensures ease of access for inhabitants.
Additionally, a full-height natural stone wall provides privacy from the entrance and parking area behind the bedroom, fostering a serene and intimate retreat.

The design incorporates a strong circulation axis that extends from the external entrance, leading directly to a circular staircase that ascends to the second storey.
This axis creates a clear path throughout the space, guiding occupants effortlessly.
The journey along this circulation route is further enhanced by thoughtfully integrated plant features and pergola structures above, adding visual interest and a touch of nature to the experience.
